God causes us to feel "quickened"

[Ref. journal #4]

The knowledge that God is forever expressed in us chases away the mist, the fear, doubts about decisions in the same way as sunshine dispels the dampness we call mist and let's the inherent goodness of our actions unfold naturally.

Looking at God shows us the true sense of ourselves. But while we are doubting good being ever-present and thinking "what’s up with me?" we get befuddled…. but God is a “quickener”. We are told this in the Bible. He causes us to feel “quickened".

What we want is the Truth “quickening” us. Have a look up what it says in Webster and apply it to yourself. It creates a glow inside us that causes an effulgence of worth and happiness ….. that’s all that ’s going on….. God’s ‘quickening' ray in all we do!

I love the hymn 319 from the Christian Science Hymnal

Sun of our life, thy quickening ray
Sheds on our path the glow of day;
Blest star of hope, thy softened light
Cheers the long watches of the night.

Lord of all life, below, above,
Whose light is truth, whose warmth is love,
Before Thy ever blazing throne
We ask no luster of our own.

Grant us Thy truth to make us free,
And kindling hearts that burn for Thee,
Till all Thy living altars claim
One holy light, one heavenly flame.

This ray  kindles, glows, warms, blazes,
gives lustre until all becomes light!

This light has been felt over and over again by people in just the same way as mists disperse in the city as they did today in London!
