The first Commandment tells us to serve the one God. We cannot get confused if we do this as we will recognise a villain for promoting his own ideas influencing people to do wrong! We always need to be on guard and watch our thoughts checking we only promote good thoughts!
Minions
I was just putting on my Poundland “Minion" socks thinking I would use them as slippers in SS tomorrow! But I suddenly thought I ought to look up what a Minion really is as the children there tomorrow, probably know!
My son had seemed surprised at me wearing these socks as slippers when he visited me, saying laughingly “Do you know what those are?” and mindlessly I said "Yes minions.” Thinking they were good creatures…. Not... r e a l l y knowing!
Thank heavens I didn’t take them to wear at his house where the children would have seen their Gran supporting the idea of minions [see! below]!
Recently at a Prom concert I was walking around looking for a better view of the singers on stage when a woman in a segmented area, working for an Acoustical Team segmented off, in the Gallery, pointed to my socks and gave me a 'thumbs up’? And I must say I was a bit miffed thinking she just liked my childishness in wearing them!
"So in preparing for SS I thought I should find out, and went through the websites describing Despicable Me until I came to a website really objecting to children being made to think it’s ok to work for a villain mindless of that they are actually doing something wrong.
It pointed out that this needs to make children wary! They really want to be good people and learn about God’s goodness and the power of good.
